What is causing this foul body odor?!

Question: In all seriousness... There's this guy I hang out with once in a while, let's call him "Tom." Anyway, Tom has a really bad funky odor coming from him. His appearance is very clean. The one time he sat in my car and my car seat absorbed the stench. I had to go buy Febreeze. Another time he sat on my bed and my poor bed sheets! I had to buy new sheets.
The smell doesn't smell like armpit sweat, or poo. It's more like a really strong foul smell. It's that smell when people have an infection in their mouth, and it causes them to have reallllly bad breath! My question is what could be wrong with him that he has a foul odor coming from his lower half!? What is it!? Thanks!

Tell him to take off his underwear and bend over. You'll find that his "back door" hasn't had a good cleaning in a long time. Give him a sponge and some liquid soap and tell him to get to work. By the way, Gonorrhea drains a lot of putrid smelling fluid and "it ain't a pretty sight." I first saw that when I was working in a hospital and almost vomited on the patient.

I'd say the odor is probably caused from not bathing often enough. Sometimes you will find a person who thinks they can cover odor with deodorant and clean clothes. You would do him a big favor to have a talk with him about it and offer some advice.

Well I know it is difficult but someone should tell him , so he can do something about it.
Perhaps the odour is from his clothes rather than his body , maybe he doesn't change underwear every day as we all should do ??
It could of course be a skin fungal infection , and if it is in an embarrassing place he is possibly reluctant to consult a GP
But for his sake , and those surrounding him he needs to be told

Can you convince him to see a doctor about it.
