Hi, I suffer from a very VERY dry helmet, would rubbing some E45 cream into it h!
Question: The tube of E45 is 2 years past its sell by date.
Any other tips? my helmet is very dry and blotchy and just looks awful

Dip it in olive oil. Cold oil you don't want to fry it.

Well I never knew you were a copper, why would you want to put cream on your helmet, I don't suppose it would matter it being out of date. It's only a bobby's helmet after all.!!

It doesnt matter if your helmet is dry - whats important is that it is hard and does not have any cracks in it. Its very important to wear your batting helmet - you wouldnt want to get beaned with a fastball.

I'm guessing I know what you're talking about....only that part and not the rest is dry ? If a cream is past its expiration date, I wouldnt use it. Have you tried baby oil? Good luck !

first of all some of these answers are ridiculous.. but very funni tho lol.. i suffer from the same problem i have a very dry penis and when i lash my gash without a rubber it hurts the helmet of my third leg aka my bishop... once im on the job however i feel fine but as i pushed my penis into her muffin i get a real bad pain..... serious answers please!?!
If the seal on the E45 is still intact, I would imagine it is safe to use on your helmet.
I can understand your concern. Try rubbing the cream in for a while, say 5 or ten minutes. Take things slowly at first as your helmet gets accustomed to the relief. Quicken up after a while when the cream moistens things up. That should ease things and make you feel sooooooooo much better.
