Question: My husband will wake up in the morning with an erection. I know it's because he has to pee but sometimes he tries to get a little nookie in before we both shower and go to work. I don't necessarily mind, but I wonder if he's really sexually aroused, or if it's just having to pee and having an erection that makes him think that way... so my question is:

Morning wood has nothing to do with either having to go to the bathroom or sexual arousal. It has to do with deep REM sleep. Men's penises (if they don't have ED) become erect during REM sleep. As we often wake up during or immediately after a dream (REM sleep) we wake up with an erection. Having said that, we look down and see it and want to put it to use. Remember most men are almost always wanting a little "nookie" and will make up any story to get it.

It is definatly because he is aroused. You never get an erection just because you have to urinate sorry. Or not sorry if "nookie" in the morning is your thing.
well.. .Guys often get something called "morning wood"... As far as sex goes.. I think its very important in a relationship and well.. if your up for it... why not go for it.. I dont think it necessarily has to do with him having to urinate..
Either way it would be nice if once in a while you gave it to him in the morning, either way he will love it.

it just depends, sometimes it's just "morning wood" other times they really are turned on. But really why not have sex? he is your hubby and hubby's are the best ;)
