Is it ok to take a multivitamin twice a day?!

Question: I like to take Centrum in the morning to boost my energy during the day, but I was wondering if I could take another one after my workouts. So my body absorbs all those nutrients quickly and into my muscles.

Your body will eliminate any WATER SOLUBLE vitamins, but vitamins like E and A will be retained and it IS possible to 'OD' on vitamins like that. Instead of feeling good, you will feel like crud. Follow the directions on the bottle. Centrum is an excellent multi-vitamin and has enough to cover you if you're also eating a balanced diet.

No. It is a waste. What your body doesn't need will be excreted.

Explicity follow the directions on the package insert.

GNC offers some Multiviatamins that you can take twice a day. Not usually with Centrum. I would suggest taking those vitamins in naturally after your workouts with small meals loaded with them to keep your metabolism going.

Your body only is able to extract about 10% of the vitamins anyway. Most of the over the counter vitamins are filler and less vitamin. You need to find a reputible company that has less filler and more vitamin. Go online to Nutriharmony and try their multivitamin.

Drop a Centrum in a shot glass of fresh lemon juice, see how long it takes to dissolve. 1-2-3-4 Hours? Lemon juice is the closest PH to your own stomach for this test. Where Isotonix supplements are the same PH balance as your stomach, they will be Absorpted at a much faster rate, in as little as 5 minutes with up to 95% of the supplement going directly to the blood stream.
