Question: My grandpa had a stroke last week, and I'm really worried...he wakes up for 2 or 3 hours and sleeps the rest of the time. What will happen to him? Is he going to die?

only the doctors can tell you that. Strokes are caused for various reasons, and that (or those) reasons need to be dealt with. And it depends on how much damage was done from the stroke; brain cells or heart tissue die from lack of oxygen during a stroke, so if it was caught early, there's an excellent chance of recovery. But there are so many variable factors when dealing with stroke. Ask your mom or dad; I'm sure the doctors filled them in on the situation. And you should know, too. You might not understand all of it, but you should know.

you know my grandma died of a stroke. I never got to see her though...you should feel lucky cuz you can stil be by his side while he goes through this. I never had that chance with my grandma which really makes me really sad...
