1) They are snug around the leg and waist. They keep your junk a little more contained than boxers while not being as restricting as tighty whiteys
2) Go with whatever company you usually use, they are pretty popular now so i think most companies make them.
3) I like good old Hanes or Fruit of the Loom

Boxer briefs hold the penis and balls close to the body; they are nice to wear when I go to the gym. I like the smoothness and it doesn't have lines showing through my clothing. I bought some through N2N Bodywear.com but you can just as well buy some through WalMart.
I just started wearing them. They do stretch out a little around the legs and crotch. They are much warmer than boxers or briefs. I bought the same size and brand as my briefs. I've been told by many of my lady friends that they like them on men (and off).
there are many kinds. you just have to try them and stick with the brand you like best.
They are the best and I wear nothing but them and have been for several years. They dont pinch or chaffe like tighty whiteys, and they dont bunch up or feel loose like boxers, also your balls dont end up in your shoe. they are a hybrid and nothings better

When I wear underwear, I like Hane's. The elastic waste seems to last longer than other brands I've tried and they're a comfortable material blend. I never wore briefs, the idea of bunching the goods in a tight package just doesn't do it for me.
In other words....hand loose to reproduce!
If you buy boxers, buy the ones with the button on the fly. If you work out at a gym, your penis could come flying out.

american eagle, i from my personal experience feel that they have the best underware, may it be boxers or boxerbriefs..... plus they have the lowrise boxerbriefs that fit me better.
if you have a pennys/primark anywhere near you buy their hipster boxers they hold your penis and balls nice and comfy without restricting movement to much and they dont look bad at all
