What's the jelly like substance in my semen?!

Question: Everytime I ejaculate, I have a yellow jelly like substance in my semen. I can ejaculate 3-4 times a day or once a week and it has the same amount of jelly like substance mixed in. I don't have any pain, but I can feel this substance coming out more so than my semen. I just want to know what it is and if I can prevent or lower the amount that I produce. Maybe my diet, too much of something or even too little of something. I don't know..... If anyone can shed some light on this subject, I would be greatly appreciative.

There's a very simple answer to this question. You probably don't have anything to worry about, much to your relief - I'm sure. =)

Many people do not realize that semen can be a variation of shades - ejaculate isn't always pearly white. It is quite common (and normal) for your ejaculate to have a yellow tint overall. Color in semen is generally always attributed to diet and the way that our bodies go about producing seminal fluid.

If you're noticing a jelly-like substance in your semen that is yellow-tinted, there's a reason. Semen is a very fickle substance and anything outside of a neutral pH-setting can cause it to coagulate, much like blood. In cases such as this, probably what's happened is that you had traces of urine left in your uretha when you ejaculated. Because urine is often acidic (and quite often yellow), that would cause the "jelly-like" substance (which, again, is congealed seminal fluid).

There's actually a biological purpose for this, too. In a coital setting, when the ejaculate is deposited into the vagina, the pH of the fluid in the vagina causes the ejaculate to coagulate, thereby forming a seal inside (simply put) and helping to increase the chances of fertilization.

Nothing's wrong with you. =) It's normal.

i think you hsould see a doctor, the only colour that should be coming out of your penis is white, no yellow or anything like that. it may be a sign of something more serious!
