Is it ok to be 5'10 and 135 lbs?!

Question: I'm 17 I weigh about 135 lbs and I'm 5'10. I don't look scrawny or anything, I lift weights in school and i have plenty of muscle, I can bench 165 as my max so I guess thats good with how much I weigh. I just feel like I don't weigh enough, what do you guys think?

That's up to you my friend. If your happy with the way you look great. Its not unhealthy if that is part of your question. You more than likely have a very high Metabolism, most people would give their firstborn to have what you have. But if you wanted to get bigger working out is not going to work without taking in a lot of calories, trust me. You may want to invest in some High Calorie Meal Replacement, drinks that have 1200 calories a serving drink 3 of those plus eat 2 or 3 of your regular meal, you will get bigger. Now wheter its fat you gain or muscle depends or what you do in the gym. Hope you get to where you want to be. PS You can get those High Calorie Drinks on line or places like GNC, their not that expensive.

no

I AM

16 1/2
5'8 OR 5'9
160 POUNDS

Thats fine, though you should gain another 5-10 pounds in muscle and 2-5 pounds in fat.

That is abnormal. You don't want your gf weighing the same as you. That's awkward for everybody.

I suggest eating.

yeah your like me you need to bulk up a bit im doing better though although im 5"8 but im now 140 lbs

You should weigh around 160-170 lbs.

is it okay to be 6'1 and 175 lbs

just gain a couple more in muscle

Listen man just bulk up. And Make sure your maxing and not toning and you'll be fine.

You're 17. you'll fill out.

For a man that is really skinny. I used to weigh 135 and I am only 5'7". I considered myself underweight then.

Are you sure that's how much you weigh? It doesn't seem right, you'd be very thin. I'm 5'11", female, and 154lbs, and quite skinny myself. And that's without a lot of muscle, which is heavier than fat.

My fiance is 20yrs old, 6'1/2", and weighs around 141lbs. He's muscular, but doesnt work out, just naturally exremely strong. He has about 6-7% body fat. He has a very small body frame, but I assume with time and with age (slowing of his metabolism) he'll gain some weight. He eats plenty, but not a ton. I do wish he was a bit bigger, but I dont mind it!
I'm the one who's 30lbs heavier and 3inches shorter. :-(

Some people have a hard time gaining weight at your age. I was quite underweight until my mid-20s, and then gaining weight suddenly became TOO easy. :-) Something to do with metabolism, I would guess.

Just continue your current eating and exercise habits, then mention your concern to your doctor at your next checkup.

When my husband and I started dating he was about 5'10 and 120(barely) I was also small so it wasn't that big of an issue but some of my friends are bigger than their men and it is slightly awkward for them... I honestly think you shouldn't be obsessed with your size, you ought to focus more on the better qualities of yourself, how charming you are..ect..

no man your bones.

no, under weight.

I'm 5'8'' and I'm 190 lol, so your really skinny.

Thats pretty much where I was at 17.

no.
