How old were you when you got/ lost hair?!

Question: Just wondering boys... i'm guessing theres a biological fact behind this so dont tell me cuz i already know but just can anyone else relate to me... I had pubic hair and armpit hair when I was 8... I got chest hair at 14 and at 15 my best mates said I had a bald patch in my head... by 16 i started noticing my hair wasn't as dense or solid (for styling etc)... and by 17 about 50% of lads that I knew would have told me I was goin bald. Another question is how come only lads would say it too me.. I mean a lot of lads but like no girls said it to me.?.. Also the only other lads in my year who had chest hair at 16 (i had it at 14) are starting to go bald now too but not as bad as me. i'm 18 now and should i shave it or save it?

hello. i'm 19, and i still have a full head of hair, but i've noticed that it seems the actual hair follicles have appeared to be getting thinner within the last year or so. i also experienced body hair growth at an early age. i had hairy legs and armpits in 6th grade, so around 11 or 12. i remember it cuz my friends pointed it out. anyway, i'm not sure if its in my head or it really is happening. my dad went bald in his early 20's so i'm probably doomed. i've heard that some peoples hair growth slows in the winter, and being so cold with less humidity it doesn't really seem to be that good for your scalp and hair growth and such. especially so if you take hot showers and dry out the scalp (which i do). i use many shampoos and hair treatments hoping to keep my scalp and hair healthy and growing. I personally use nioxin http://www.nioxin.com which is said to stimulate the scalp and help rid it of DHT, a harmful chemical produced by the body which causes hairloss. I also use Phyto products http://www.phyto-usa.com which offer many herbal based shampoos and stimulants to nourish the scalp. I use a natural hair moisturizer like the Avocado Butter Pre-Shampoo Hair Treatment from Burt's Bees http://www.burtsbees.com to keep my scalp and hair moisturized as it can be used as a styling aid as well. if you keep a healthy scalp you're doing good.

Keeping your body well hydrated and taking a daily mulit-vitamin my be considered as well. Water is a no-brainer, and multi-vitamins provide healthy nutrients for your skin, scalp, and hair. Naturally, consult your doctor before you take anything. Also, it may be wise to go to your doctor for a simple blood test, as he/she can tell you if your testosterone/DHT levels are healthy, which are the main factor in hair growth.

you may also consider prescription hair-loss products if you wish to keep the hair you currently have. I tried Proprecia, and WILL NEVER USE IT AGAIN. i experienced a loss of sex drive, (which is one of the possible side affects) as well as a more difficult time having an erection than normal. i read up on it and many claim that it causes permanent damage to their ability to have an erection and and sex drive so that is my reason for quitting. personally, my sex drive was more important to me than my hair, and it will be for most guys lol. ;) which brings me to my next point, shaving the head.

I've been shaving my head on and off for about 4 years now. (again, i'm 19) I've just recently started using a blade for it, so i've just recently gotten used to it being all the way to the scalp. i used to just use an electric trimmer like they use in barber shops and i had the guards to where you could choose how short you cut it. so my advice to you friend is to try the trimmer with the guards first and gradually get shorter and shorter. everybodys shaved head looks odd to them to begin with cuz you've never seen it before like that so don't panic. then you can ultimatley decide whether you want to shave it or not without completely doing so. I just got sick of seeing my hair so thin looking. I also have a high hair line (runs in the family, guess i'm cursed lol) so that is another reason why i enjoy shaving the head. it personally makes me feel strong to shave my head, as i'm stripping myself of something most people never would think of doing. so try to think of it that way. :)

as far as the guys and girls noticing, guys are usually just more blunt and careless when commenting on something that might bother somebody. and maybe the girls didn't even really notice/care.

i would say try shaving it man. i love it, you don't gotta mess with it as much and saves you time and trouble. besides alot of girls i know like rubbing a shaved head for some reason lol. besides i don't think we have too much to worry about. hair transplant surgery seems to be making huge strides anyway and it looks completely natural.

anyway, good luck, and i'm done with my novel.

I started to get pub hair at 13 i had a mustache at 14, I curently have lots of body hair like a bear, i dont like it, but oh well. I also get a 5 oclock shave in about 5 hours lol I started loosing my head hair at 16 I am not 18 and its worse :( I dont know dude about shave it or save it, but i am keeping the little that i have left. I am not confident enought to shave it, I think my head is unevenly shaped.

Good Luck man! If you need any extra info, e-mail me! No prob.
