I asked this to my partner and he thinks it's ok to masturbate when you're girlfriend is awake or aware that you're doing it (and that goes for me too!). And to do stuff while she's asleep is just plain wrong. You need to talk to each other and find out what is ok and not for you both. But I would be really upset if my partner was doing things in our bed while I was alseep. Hope this helps.

I wouldn't be thrilled about someone trying things with me while I'm asleep. That seems selfish and inconsiderate. As far as masturbating while I'm next to him....why not? It can be a real turn on to watch someone do that. And if I'm too tired to join in or am sleeping, he can do whatever he wants to himself. Well, I wouldn't try anything without my wife's approval. As for masturbating while she's asleep, I must admit to having done that a couple times, when I've awakened and just couldn't get back to sleep.

Don't be upset by it if the relationship is healthy otherwise. Maybe he was being polite by not disturbing you, thinking you asleep. Or how about a "hey, want me to help with that?" from you.
