Male mid-life crisis's, fact or fiction?!

Question: fact. Men's hormones are in as much flux as women's hormones. About 40 is when both genders stop to think about what they have achieved in their life (or not achieved) and begin to feel regret over the things they always wanted to do but didn't. My recommendation is to be patient, talk things out, and maybe, if financially feasible, to help him achieve those things he feels regret about. This is a typical time for men and women to figure out that the career they've chosen is not making them happy. Go back to school, take a painting class, do something completely off-the-wall. Shake life up a bit, and get out of the rut. That's what I've done. I'm pursuing my masters degree after all these years!

Fact. It happens in varying degrees. It's called self-actualization.

Nonsense, it's another symptom of social hypochondria, like "bipolar", "depression", "ADD", and "OCD." While all of these are valid medical disorders, everyone looks for some stupid buzzword to blame their weaknesses on, and it's getting easier and easier to do that.

Mid life crisis was bunk in 1970, it's bunk today. Anyone who says they are having a mid-life crisis is ignoring the truth. Women who like to blame it on a mid-life crisis - thank you for the thumbs down, you're ignoring the truth TOO.

Yes, male mid-life crisis is a real phenomenon among men over 40-45. My father said that he went through it. They have some of the symptoms as women do, but not the hot flashes,

fact,I'm 45 and going through it.for me it causes allot of depression and reflecting back at my life plus the psychical aging doesn't help!!

fact. thats the time they will figure it out if they are bi or gay.

All I can say, is my husband, went through something. He went for the sweetest man alive, to a old grump, hated everything and everybody, I could not, believe the change, But, the family and I endured it. Now, I have my great caring loving husband back, But, it was as rough on the family as it was on him..Just takes, a whole lot of love, forgiveness and patients. But you can overcome. and be a happier and closer family.or, we are, any way. God's Blessings.

I never heard of this but I guess it's a fact!! I've heard of having a mid-life crisis so if females can have one then I am pretty sure guys can have one too. That usually happens when you get old though -- like in your forties...fifties and maybe even the sixties!!
