If I tell a doctpr I got a lump on my testicle, what will be next?!

Question: So If I tell that doctor that I have a lump on my testicle, what will he do ? I guess he will need to look into it further, but will he like make me strip in front of him (if so- seems a little odd; and I'm not gay). Seems creepy having a doctor messing around with your balls. PS. Am a 15 year old male.

His Assistant will provide a gown and a small "sheet". She will then, leave the room to give you privacy. The doctor will knock before entering the room, (just in case).

He will definitely want to "feel" the lump. Not for pleasure...Jay D! LOL!. He needs to feel for size, and to "see" if there are other areas of your testicle with the same "lumps"...just in case.

When I found one lump in my breast, I went to the doctor, and a biosy was decided on. The day of the procedure he found 4 more....so you see, honey, even though it might be a little embarrassing, it is worth it. He will send you for specialized testing and take it from there...Don't be scared!!!!!

P.S: I know about being "15". I had to find a male doctor for my 17 y.o. He was too embarrassed with the female one...

Dr. Terence Donohue.....General Surgeon....MY Lifesaver!.... New Britain, CT ...40 Hart Street....Good Luck!!!!

They make you get into a hospital gown and he will prob just reach up there and feel the lump. He may not even look at it unless he feels it is serious. They understand you feel uncomfortable and will do their best .They will also leave the room while you change in and out of the gown.Trust me,would you rather loose your balls completly or let the doc have a look=see?

you wont have to strip you will just have to take your trousers down and let him have a look he will do it for medical reasons and they dont think sexual about anything like this. when i was pregnant i found a lump in my breasts and i had to go and see a male doctor and seeing the oppisite sex is still uncomfortable but it was just my milk producing. when i gave birth do you really thing the midwifes(women)were looking at my you know sexually? i know they wernt but thats the way we feel. no they are looking for the baby and its all medical you have nothing to worry about. good luck

Dude its not gay. Go see the doc, he will want to take a look see and feel but its for your health. I have been and yes its slightly uncomfortable but it only last a couple of seconds then he is done, and i did not have to take off all my clothes. Lumps on your testical could be nothing serious or it could also be cancer, dont mess around, swallow your pride and go get it checked out!!!

He will lop them off with a rusty blade. Good luck

Look if you have a sore throat , you would certainly expect him to look in your mouth , or if you pulled a muscle in your leg he would examine your leg
So is you have a lump in your testicle he will have to inspect that too , otherwise he will not be able to make a judgement on next steps.
I don't see what being or not being gay has to do with the doctor examining you , I think quite naturally you are apprehensive about stripping for a doctor and letting him get close to your private parts .
Medial staff do intimate examinations on patients every day of the week , if they didn't than many more people would get sick
Any lump needs immediate investigation , and hopefully it could be just a benign cyst .
I understand your reluctance to be examined , but don't let this reluctance stand in the way of getting reassurance , or even treatment if that is necessary
I wish you luck
