Tips for making an average-heighted man (5'9") look a little taller?!

Question: I am desperately and I mean desperately doing everything I can to reach 6 feet tall. I'm 20 years and my outlook is not so good at all. I just look at myself in the mirror and think of how inadequate I am...and how almost every CEO, big-time business man, or doctor has a very tall and manly stature, at least over 6 feet tall (if not taller). Ugh, I hate it.

First let me tell you something: my father is 5'6, is a CEO, and has an income of $2.5 million. Second, the best looking guys are not tall: Ryan Sheckler (5'6), Jesse McCartney (5'8), Zac Efron (5'6), Tom Cruise (5'7), etc... just to name a few. Therfore, if you are cute and self-confident, you can get any girl you want :)
Here are some tips to make you look taller:
- They make elevator shoes for men that can add 3-4 inches in height (you can become 6'1 instantly without anybody noticing) and they look like normal shoes (google: "elevator shoes for men")
- Wear single, solid colors from head to toe. This will create the illusion of a longer body
- Avoid wearing thick belts as that will cut your body in 2 pieces
- Workout and have a nice body, but don't get too ribbed as that can make you look shorter and with a complexity.
- Avoid baggy pants and baggy shirts. Always go for slim fitting (but not too tight...you don't want to appear metro or homosexual)
- Short hair will make you look taller by letting you see the neck and shoulders.
-

TIPS:
- Take care of your face and body. Workout, cleanse your skin, dress in Abercrombie clothes or business clothes, etc...

You are average height for a guy so don't worry! Don't read those stupid polls about women wanting tall men! I used to be like that and the boys I have been most obsessed with were always under 5'9 so don't worry! :)

drink a lot of water the night before it will stretch your skin and muscles.

Be careful how you deal with this, you don't want to get the complex (Napoleon) and cause even more problems. Look, you are how you are and no level of desperation is going to make you taller. If you are 20, while some men do grow still, you can be pretty sure you are as tall as you will be. You have to get happy with that. But anyway, find shoes that have a thick sole to add about a half inch, that's about all you can do.

wear Vertical Stripe Shirts/suits.
wear plaids however this is a business setting.

Eat well balanced meals, but focus on protein. Watch your posture. Always stand straight up with your shoulders back to make a larger impression of yourself. Wear clothes that add height, like vertical stripe shirts. You should probably avoid wearing shorts that hit you just below the knee. That can make your legs look shorter. you can also wear shoes with 1" higher heels. Avoid going barefoot.
Bolster your self esteem. If you are ALWAYS confident, that will make others perceive you as a taller man than your stature.

clothing
find collared shirts with vertical
stripes makes torso look longer
and try boot cut jeans (i recommend Levi)
easy and simple
since you a business man find
matching jacket and pants
with vertical stripes
make figure look enlonged
straighten posture
easy fix

5'9 isnt short.

chill out, your height doesn't make you the person you are, your character does.

Your posture will have a MUCH greater affect on how the rest of the world views you than your actual height. And what you lack in height can be made up for with a commanding physical presence and confident attitude. Look at Napoleon! He was barely 5'2" yet he nearly conquered the whole of Europe!

Take a Dale Carnegie course and learn how to learn to use what you have to your best advantage and to make up for what you lack in physical stature with the areas of strength that you DO have.

Try wearing clothes, mainly shirts, that have VERTICAL, NOT horizontal, stripes on them. It will make you seen taller, though of course you're still the same height. Another tip, one that I used, is to put a few folded up tissues under your feet in you shoes... It is pretty comfortable, and you will actually BE taller, though it is just the tissues. Also, try to find a pair of shoes that have a thick sole. They will last longer, and make you taller!

Hope this helped:)
