It is not unusual for young fellahs to have low self confidence. Sometimes they find it difficult to make conversation when they meet someone. That's because they are worried about how nervous they feel. To overcome this - when you are introduced - say nice to meet you ..... (person's name) Saying person's name helps you to remember it.
To continue conversation - ask questions- have you always lived in ..?.(name of your town). what is your favorite class here at school? - are you on the sports team? .. questions like that. Person you are speaking to will be pleased you are interested in him/her and will think you are a really interesting person. Be sure to listen to their answers as that will give you an opportunity to ask other questons.Try this Alex & let me know how you get on. All the best.
