My husband is only 32 and thinks he has a swollen prostate...?!

Question: is this common at such a young age?

Answers: is this common at such a young age?

He could have an infection, prostatitis (totally unrelated to cancer, btw). See a urologist to make sure. Easily treated with antibiotics, too.

EDIT: Don't know what the thumbs down are all about. My hubby went through the same thing a couple of years ago, that's how I know.

Yes, an enlarged prostate is quite common in even younger men. He should definitely have it checked by an urologist asap. There are medications to relieve the pressure that makes it difficult to pee.

No it isn't, but self-diagnosis is a very bad idea. If he thinks there's something wrong, he needs to see a physician.

If he says his prostate is swollen then he should go to the Urologist and have treatment for his problem, it is not necessarily prostate cancer.

Time to dump that zero and get urself a hero

You need to stop ramming the cucumbers up his butt during sex....

First off, why does he think he has a swollen prostrate? Is he going to the bathroom too frequently? If so he needs to go to the Dr and have a physical. A prostrate exam is part of the exam.

like breast cancer in women, prostate cancer or other prostate issues can happen at any age. yes, they are more common as we get older, but they are not unheard of in younger men. a quick trip to the doctor would clear it all up with a simple wave of the finger. it really isnt that big a deal, and if it is enlarged you want to know why and catch it as soon as possible. if it would be cancer it is very treatable if caught early, and very deadly if it spreads.
