I dunno- I really think you should tell him, that way he doesn't get believe any lies that he might hear about it. Seriously, my parents told me all about "where babies come from" when I was eight- it didn't stigmatize me any. In fact, he'll probably trust you if he needs to talk to you rather than keeping silent about problems.

I would wait about 2 or so years.I am sure if you tell him things now you might scare him.If you do decide to tell him make sure you tell him prorperly or wait for him to ask you.
I wouldn't even try to talk to him about that kind of stuff when he's only 10, or even 12 years old unless he asks you!!! Because explaining too much can be a bad thing in his way of thought if it got too detailed! What ever you do, don't even get him thinking about masterbation! Kids today are starting out way to early for that!
By the time they turn 15, 16 years old. all they think about is sexual things then! Why do you think there's so many teen pregnancies!!! The boys were taught to early about all that stuff, from either older brothers or friends! He will learn what he needs to know in time from school from teachers in sex education classes, he doesn't need to learn the wrong things about sex etc.!!!
I'm sure your father will be talking to him, when he feels he needs the talk! Or when he starts asking questions about his body parts! The longer he thinks it's for just going to the bathroom, the better off he'll be!
