been having experience with different bowl, different design will have different "effect", some wont cause you that water splashing up on balls situation. put some toilet paper so it wont splash, but be aware of putting too much toilet paper, sometimes you wont be able to flush down and will cause a mess.
as for those who has a long "tool" that will touch the inside of the bowl, try to wrap your tool with layers of toilet paper, that should help.
