you will probably get the choice, it does not hurt at all in the ar*e thats why its the best place
I don't know about the UK, but here in America, tetanus shots are given in the arm. Usually a specific place in the arm, the shoulder muscle actually, just below the shoulder and exactly perpendicular with the arm.
Shots are frequently only given in the butt to people with very small arm muscles, such as petite females.
If you need it , just get it whichever part of your body is involved .
I have had all my shots in the arm / shoulder
