Steroid affects?!


Question: so me and my friends always breakout in random arguements and one of todays was about steroids, i dont even know how this started but in the middle of the conversation, on pointed out that excessive use could lead to functional milk producing breasts i disagreed with him and then he whipped out a random paper that had details (it wasnt writen by him he got it from some store thing) and it said that it was true, i know that papers that talk about drugs (i dont take any drugs) are sordof made to scare you. but i just need some clarifacation is this true? and if so isnt it a male hormone? how could it do that?

well steroids taken artificially can definitely do weird things. Believe it or not testosterone can convert to estrogen via the aromatase enzyme......some body builders will actually take anti-aromatase supplements to ensure that the conversion does not take place. Usually with steroid use one is really pumping too much testosterone in the system so there is a chance that the excess will not be metabolized well and will create more estrogen and DHT (which will increase baldness). One big thing to note is that because one is supplying the body with testosterone the body itself will stop producing it on it's own which is why many roid users will have small testicles because they aren't being used to their capacity any more.
