first take care of it good when u first get it.........then keep it out of the sun and use sun block..........sun kills them quick!!!

Put sunscreen on when in the sun and keep lotion on it.

keep them in the freezer after taking the bone out and take the scales off

Lotions without alcohol all day every day. Works for me. Also, no pools, not too much sun exposure and not too much salty water(beaches).
