Answers: 35 to 45 years old?

6 to 8 hours, depending on your level of stress and physical activity and if you ate a heavy meal slightly before bedtime or even depending on your alcohol and/or caffeine intake. All can affect your sleep patterns throwing you off a normal schedule.

8 hours

8-10 hours. Take care. Sweet dreams.

It varies from person to person (mostly depending on your own metabolic rate, age and amount of daily physical activity). However most doctors reccomend about 8 hours per night for the average person to maintain optimum health.

Most people can get by with just 6 or 7 hours, but lack of consistent lack of sleep will eventually take it's toll on the body. Studies have shown that lack of sleep can reduce your natural immunity and lead to things like chronic fatigue syndrome and memory loss and an overall decrease in general health. A lot of people claim that they don't have time to sleep a full 8 hours during the weekdays, so they will just get about 5 or 6 then binge sleep (10-12 hours) over the weekend. But studies have also shown that that is not really good for you and that binge sleeping to recover lost sleep doesn't really work and only causes you to loose time to sloth over the weekend.

A good rule of thumb is sleep for 8 hours and 15 mintues per night. The extra 15 minutes is your wake up period. People shouldn't just be jarred out of sleep (ala an alarm clock). It actually takes your body about 15 minutes to return to full capacity after a full nights sleep and if you use that time laying in bed and waking up gradually it's easier on the body. Waking up naturally (to sunlight or birds singing, etc) is how you wake up feeling refreshed. Being jarred out of sleep is often why people feel like the have "woken up on the wrong side of the bed".

8 hours!! I wish, I have suffered from insomnia since i was a child, if i get 2 hours sleep a night I am lucky, tried sleeping tablets......... al the usual stuff, At the end of the day your body will cope with the amount of sleep it gets till a certain point. I find once every couple of weeks I go flat out for 8-12 hours and feel great after.
