Lump on left testicle, hasnt grown in size?!

Question: Hi. I had an operation when I was 12, to untwist my left testicle. A couple of weeks after the operation I noticed a tiny lump on my left testicle. It is now 2 almost 3 years later (Im almost 15) and the lump hasn't grown in size, and doesn't it hurt (never did from the beginning) or cause any discomfort(never did from the beginning either) . Could it be cancerous?

Yes, it could be a cancerous tumor. I had testicular cancer 5 yrs ago, it could be that the tumor is growing on the inside of your testicle. In you case, it is probability nothing to worry about - but since it is obviously on your mind - make an appointment with a urologist and have it checked out. I would recommend a urologist since they feel testicles far more than a family doctor, and if there is a question, they can do an ultra sound right in the office as opposed to the family doctor - which would send you to the hospital or urologist for an ultra sound.

You need to ask your physician. No one on Yahoo Answers can give you the definitive medical advice you need. So, ask your parents to take you to the doctor and ask him/her the same question. That will be the only answer that will really matter.

just go see a doctor..

It could just be scar tissue but I would ask the dr just to be sure.

Testicular cancer is not common at you age, but it should be checked out by a doc. Lumps are very common and do not generally indicate cancer but again I would say, get it checked. Ask your family doc and don't worry or be shy. It is no big deal.
