Its more uncomfortable than painful and worse for a man and no they wont tie your legs down.they use a lubricant before they put it in and it only normally takes a minute or two.
i wouldn't say painful..does sting a little going in
and no they don't tie your legs down
Yea, I was in a car accident when I was younger- had to stay in the hospital for a couple of weeks. The catheter feels kinda weird- and it stings going in (mostly due to the disinfectant), but otherwise, it's not too bad. Much less painful then trying to get up to use the bathroom with a broken hip!
many times, and they use a lidocane ointment which will numb you when they insert it. It may hurt a little, more so when they remove it and you use the mens room. Good Luck! I assure you you will be able to handle it, and there are worse things that can happen to us.
