no because he is under 18 and cannot sign a release incause he gets injured the gym may have a release for the parents to sign some do some dont. usually it is 18 the limit

In my opinion ...NO...because he is still growing...wait till he's 17/18 years of age...his growth platelets would have fused or almost fused by then...he can then start picking up weights and slowly go to much heavier weights....but right about now...I'd play a lot of sports...baseball/basket ball etc..just to stay trim and lose....not just sitting at home playing video games...tht way once I start the gym weight tht I gain will be healthy
