Will cardio effect my muscle building?!

Question: I started weight lifting and I have muscle but it doesn't show like I want it to because I am overweight. So I thought about a healthy diet but it doesn't seem to be working out, so to help me lose fat I was thinking about doing cardio 3 days a week for 30 minutes after my weight lifting workout. (I lift for about 2 hours). Will doing cardio slow down or effect my muscles in any negative way? Also do you think it would help me get more cut?

your muscles are the furnace and cardio is the way to get the fuel to the furnace....so do resistance training MWF followed by interval training (cardio) for your 30 minutes.....but right afterwards you'll want to get protein in you fast as your body wants to repair the muscle.......also realize that your body is going to go into repair mode within a 2 hour period so honestly I think you are working too long when you are doing your weight lifting. I have a master trainer and we do 45 minutes resistance training and then the rest of the workout is in the cardio studio doing some insane interval training. on mondays we do lower body, and on wednesdays we do chest and back and then on fridays we do arms and shoulders. Now as for the protein, your body can only asimilate 40-50 grams of protein in one sitting so the rest is waste and contributes to not getting lean....after your weight training the best protein is in liquid form because it will digest the fastest. Also healthy diet can mean different things to different people...the key is to eat more often. Think of a camp fire.....if you let it go down to coals and throw a big log on it, the log smolders and doesn't completely burn but if you keep adding smaller sticks to it all the time, it'll burn hotter and faster, and the sticks will be turned to ash. same thing with your body....if you eat healthy foods but only twice a day then you aren't going to loose the weight. The best thing is to have breakfast, snack, lunch, snack, and supper and a snack....and don't let your body go more than 3 waking hours with out a nutritious food going in.

after mainting a regualr cardio routine you will definetly see results. to get the "cut" effect you have to lose the fat on top of your muscle.

My husband spends 4 hours a day in the gym. I can tell you honestly that cardo will help you lose fat and show more cuts. My husband tells everyone to do cardio. He is getting ready for a show and is doing 5 miles a day. Keep increasing your cardio it won't hurt you and you will start to see results soon.

Good Luck

Not really....I've been doing weight training for 2 years now and I've taken up doing cardio recently..I do cardio 3 days and workout 7 days...no noticable change...What do u think guys at the military do?...and they are buffed as hell!!!!
