I have it about 1 inch up. I think it feels and looks better to shave it. I use my razer to shave it. It's really not that scary. Before I tried it, I thought of my penis skin as being soft and delicate, but it didn't really seem that way when I actually tried shaving it. It's almost like my penis skin is tough and leathery. I haven't come close to cutting myself. I shave the base of the shaft, and just trim everything else.
