That's why it stretches and lowers your testicles away from your abdomen when you're hot and shrinks and draws them up close when you're cold (or afraid, to protect them and to keep them out of the way in case you have to run for your life). Boxers let your scrotum do its thing, while tighty-whities (briefs) keep your testicles up close to you no matter what.
It's not a big issue, though, unless you're diagnosed as having a low sperm count and are having trouble making babies. There's no permanent harm in any case. Wear whatever makes you comfortable.
no, briefs hold the testicles closer to the body. the reason your testicles hang outside your body, is because sperm need to be cooler than your body to form and work well. boxers allow better cooling and if you have sperm issues your urologist will tell you to switch from briefs.

I dont know but i would say briefs because it holds them up I guess. It may be just like woman and their breast. If we have a kind of big chest and dont wear a bra are breast will eventually sag. So it could be the same with a mans penis and scrodoms, if you dont wear something to hold it up they may sag.
Briefs are good if they are loose fitting-I buy one size up. You need to allow your scotal muscles to move your testicles away from and towards your body. That is how the male body regulates the temperature in the sack. If they are not allowed to do this function, the temps will become higher than they should and could possibly effect the quality of your sperm.
ALL that said, they "say" they have found tighter fitting briefs to not have any effect-but I have a hard time believing it. SO, Cold Weather: loose 100% cotton briefs, Warm Weather: 100% cotton lite weight/full cut boxers. Then you're covered!
