What is "guy code" and how does it apply to your sister?!
Question: Hey this question is aimed toward males - I was having a debate with my male best friend (both of us are in our mid 20s). Anyways, he says there's a "guy code." I want to kno exactly what is this "guy code?" He said if one of his boys was dating his sis, female relative,or even me (a close female friend) and cheating - he wouldn't tell her b/c it's against this "guy code." And futher more neither would most males - I think it's a load of bull (despite the fact I have very little dating experience). So maybe I am wrong....is there any truth to this? What's you guys' opinions? And what exactly is included in "guy code?" TY.

Um, I would hope that he's smart enough to realize that family comes first, and if your buddy is cheating on your sister, he needs a good ***-kicking. That has nothing to do with "guy code." Guy code is more along the lines of simpler things, such as not dating your buddy's ex. And not talking to another guy at the urinal; there's nothing worse than having someone talk to you while you're peeing. The bathroom is a place of business, not pleasure. Wait til I'm done, then come and have a word.
As for your male best friend, how much of a best friend is he if he wouldn't tell you that you're being cheated on? That's the sign of a weak person and a sheep who thinks the need to fit in is more important than loyalty to those that truly deserve it. He needs to grow up a little and become a man, rather than a boy.
sorry baby girl he's right,but it's also a girl code,most of the stuff in their code book is also in a girls
most guys(players don't rat players out).guys code or not,I care more about the family member or close friend,that i would rat them out.But i wouldn't let it get as far as them dating to begin with.
The same 'code' requires to kick the *** of that guy who cheated on my sister, best friend or whatever.
[ edit: there is a Code of the Real Guy but it is mostly about behaving cocky, funny, confident and in general cool around gals .. this is our =equivalent to this book called 'the Rules' which is about gals on how to find the right guy and make him marry her]
