Does gynecomastia cause a decrease in testosterone or an increase in estrogen?!

Question: I'm really wondering if the condition causes some sort of change in the body chemistry for males, especially in terms of sex drive or testosterone levels. I had gynecomastia when I was a child, but had plastic surgery to cover it, and I notice that many males at my age simply had more competitive drive and anger issues than I ever did.

Of course, it could be upbringing as well, but this idea just piqued my curiosity.

Thank you in advance for your answers!

Actually it's not the condition that causes the flux in hormones but the hormones that bring on Gynecomastia.

When estrogen levels rise, men are more inclined to getting Gynecomastia. Yes it can decrease sex drive as well.

Not sure man, but there are natural ways to increase your testosterone/sex drive. Leafy vegetables and nuts increase it, and so does some exposure to sunlight. Check out Mistermanpower.com, its got a full guide on this that I've been following, and my testosterone has gone up, and so has my sex drive. Feel free to email me if you got any questions

do u have a normal male physiology i mean with relation to ur genitals, body dvelopment...???

gynaecomastia is usually a consequence of increased estrogen levels or as side-effects of some drugs...!!!

y dont u take a blood test 4 ur testosterone levels...!! it can help...

excessive estrogen causes it. in newborn males, it is excessive estrogen from the mother. In preteens, it occurs during puberty when hormonal changes occur.

I am guessing your sex drive is not strong and you carry around some abdominal or baby fat. In other words you aren't ripped and muscular. I'd say you have a definite testosterone deficiency.

No. Gynecomastia does not cause anything. You can have normal levels of Testosterone and Estrogen and still develop gynecomastia. Those issues other guys have are just personality traits. Low testosterone would give more systemic symptoms as would increased estrogen. Don't worry and if you can't let it go see an endocrinologist and get a test for the amount of free Testosterone in your body.
