Buy both and try them out-I wear full cut boxers, (the ones with a seat panel), in the Summers-wear boxerbriefs and briefs in the cooler-cold weather.
Just make sure they are 100% white cotton, some males are allergic to fabric dyes, AND buy the briefs/boxerbriefs a size larger. That way you'll have room for your testicles to move to and away from your body to regulate the sperm's temp.
-if you are in shape-buy midrise briefs-full rise will go up to your navel! I hate that and you probably will too!
boxer briefs fit a little more snug and make a guys but look good.

boxer breifs have legs like boxers but skin tight like breifs
boxers have more room for you to bounce around and are more comfortable for wear around the house and the briefs are tighter for sports wear!!!
