you get wet dreams because when you dont ejaculate ''your cup runnith over'' sometimes. that tells me you dont have much sexual activity and dont masturbate. has nothing to do with age. or maybe you haven't gotten laid in a while. its just a buildup of sperm that comes out. when you masturbate this doesn't happen anymore. shoot im 19 and sexually active and i wake with a hard on every morning. sometimes us younger dudes have a little too much hormones and we get hard when we dont want to. rarely happens to older guys, but when you get to that age you will appreciate those hard ons you used to get

Every healthy man gets nocturnal erections about every 90 minutes when he's asleep. The wet dreams are all your doing though. You may not remember them but you are having some erotic encounters while you're asleep.
I'm not sure, but at any rate, kittycat's answer is wrong. Getting erections can sometimes have nothing to do with sex.
its totally normal. my brother has had wet dreams all the way up to 24 or 25. its a phase and should go away in the next year:-)
