The penis becomes excited faster when the foreskin is attached.
It is EASIER to masturbate with a foreskin.
another old wive's tale. was a theory put forth a few generations ago to promote the practice of circumcision. Of course the truth is circumcision does not reduce masturbation (well not unless the circumcision is really badly done). In fact some of the circumcized guys I know masturbate way more than i do.

Circumcision removes over half the skin of the penis (about 15 square inches in an adult) and it's not just simple skin. It's packed with nerve endings, special anatomical features like the ridged band and has a unique elastic gliding action, allowing it to slide on itself and act like lube. This action is what most males use to masturbate with except those who are cut so tightly that they have to use lube or just rub it dry. Of course the intact male has the option to use lube too if he wants to.
In the past it was thought that circumcision would stop masturbation; probably because the sicko doctors doing it were themselves intact and could not imagine masturbating without a foreskin.

boys who aren't circumcised can masturbate MUCH more easily.
they can just pull their foreskin up and down rapidly to pleasure themselves, whereas circumcised boys have to apply lube (like Vaseline) all over it then just use their hand which can burn.
that's why circumcision first came about in the USA - to prevent boys from masturbating
now though that reason has been debunked because ALL boys masturbate, circ'd or not.

Actually, people say that if the penis IS circumcised, they'll masturbate more. The foreskin acts as a type of lubricant, because it keeps the glans wet, so it's easier to masturbate. Circumcised men, however, need some type of lube, because the head is dry, because there's no foreskin.
