You need a very low bldy fat to have viswible abs. Some of us are genetically predisposed to retain some fat over our guts .... so it can be very difficult. Also high levels of testosterone help burn fat and some of us guys just aren't made that way.

The trick is to reduce fat as much as possible., This means eating sensibly because you dont want to deplete your muscle mass as you lose body fat. A normal diet nearly always involves losing muscle mass as well as fat.

Choose some of those. You need to work on rotational movements as well as up and down movements and you should workout on your lower back as well as your abs so that you do not create an imbalance.

The best way to get abs is to RUN. The more cardio you do, along with your regular ab exercises the more defined your muscles will be. If you don't run or do some form of cardio, your abs may be strong, but they won't show nearly as well.
