I want to get big muscles, do I have to go every other day or can I go every day!

Question: Also how long should each session last? What do you personally do?

Answers: Also how long should each session last? What do you personally do?

You can train every day but you must have at least 1 full rest day a week. Building muscle is easy and you will see the results of your labour and the most growth in the first 3 months of starting.
Train Chest and Biceps on a Monday, Shoulders Triceps on a Tuesday, Back on its own Wednesday, Legs Thursday and back to Chest and Biceps on a Friday(twice a week as this is the most visual of all muscles and the first people look at).
Saturday you must complete 90 mins only cardio so running cycling whatever(this will help keep fat down and make you more ripped).

All sessions should be completed with a 15 minute stomach and core building exercises.

Follow this plan and you will be super looking. Trust me!!

go every other day to avoid injuries your need time to rest your muscles after a good workout

You can go every day, just don't work on the same group of muscles each day. You should wait a day before you work the same group again. I usually do upper body one day and lower the next.

I dont go to the gym, but my cousin does. He goes like all the time, he also drinks those protein powders in milk or water. I think they help to build muscles too while you train at the gym.

Focus on eating the right stuff. Muscles actually do their growing when recovering. but make sure you go hard in the gym and lift heavy.

Okay, First you need to watch what you eat. You need to do alot of cardio too. I suggest 1hr. before and 20min.after. Then do legs and stomach every other day, and the other day do arms, back and chest. Every muscle group has another muscle group that needs to be done so the other one looks and gets better. You need to do it at least 3x a week. You do need to give one break day break per group bc otherwise it will not be able to build on it each other so it will take longer.

Every day is a mistake. Even working different groups every day is a mistake.
You need to go a minimum of 2 days a week and a maximum of 3-4. Train the big muscle groups and forget about the window-dressing manoeuvres like flyes, dumbbell raises cable-crossovers, they build no size.

Mail me, for a decent size-building routine.

[edit] Lizzi, cardio might be good for fitness, but when you're trying to build size it is counter productive. Reducing cardio for at least the first 3 months assists in size building.

[edit] TD eh? Except that I train this way and everyone I have trained trains this way and they are muscular.

You can go everyday, as long as you switch the muscles you're working on, to let them repair.

The thing with building muscles is that one day you want to give certain muscles a good workout. They're not going to get bigger unless they have repair time. After the workout, they have to heal themselves.

So one day you go to the gym and you work on maybe your arms and do a bit of aerobics, the next day you focus on say your legs and abs.

Make sure you eat and drink well too.

I go every day , well I alternate between gym and swim but I'm not looking for bulk so tend to do aerobic exercise . As long as you vary your workout a bit you won't get bored . You could always try those protien mixtures if you're really desperate but they won't do anything for your stamina

if u want to gain muscle then u should exersice 5 time a week,,giving rest to your muslces after 2 or three days....divide ur exersices in to three days...1 day chest with back,,triceps with biceps and 1 day for sholuder and deltiod ...do abt 1 hour...eat protein too
