Yes, you should be worried. 10 years old is very very very young to be masturbating "ALOT". I started puberty young and found out about masturbating at around 11 years old. For the first 2 or 3 years, i did it about 3-4 times a week. I was eventually doing it twice a day by the end of high school. Sometimes more! I can tell you that it is very similar to a drug. It just feels so good, you cant get enough of it. Eventually you are spending most of your day doing it or thinking about doing it.

If your child is on stimulant medications, it may be cause for you to keep an eye out for other behavioral issues. Adderall in particular has been known to increase the libido in some boys.
