When is it too old to get a circumcision?!

Question: I have a friend who is 22 And he's wondering if he is too old for a circumcision. I dont know what to tell him. I know there are alot of benefits to this. But he thinks it would be a painful procedure and says that he would have to be careful not to have an erection during the healing process? I guess my friend just wants some info about this.
P.S. (my friend is me) lol

you can get a circumcision at any age. but as the others have mentioned above, by getting a circumsion, you are cutting off a lot of your nerve cells which is just a decrease in pleasure for you. the more nerve cells you have surrounding the penis, the more pleasurable each sexual experience you have is in your benefit and favor. plus, as a girl, i find males who are uncircumcised more fun to please, then those who are cut.

best of luck!
hope you choose what you think is best for you!

There is no age limit to it but... Don't do it. It causes more penile health issues than any claims to better health. Check out http://nocirc.org/ for some info. Such as he'll be eliminating 10,000 - 20,000 nerves in his penis. The foreskin contains much of the feeling in the penis.

getting a circumcision at an older age is painful as well as dangerous. Many doctors don't reccomded this because if the surgery is botched, he could have a terrible sex life. I don't think its a safe idea, plus foreskin isnt that horrible. In fact foreskin can be pleasureable to some women. So talk to your friend and make sure he knows what hes doing.

There is no age, but the benefits of remaining uncircumcised are very, very, appealing. For instance, an uncircumcised penis is so much more sensitive than an uncut penis due to the protection of the foreskin on the glans, and because it's protected, the glans doesn't form a hardened layer to desensitize it to the texture of clothing. Also, the hygiene issues are all stupid, to put it bluntly, because cleaning is no more than running water over the glans and wiping off any grime. Also, circumcision offers no resistance or protections from STDs, as the diseases can still be transmitted through the glans itself as well as the skin on the rest of the penis. The foreskin also allows for less friction, rawness, and chafing for the guy if he's masturbating or having sex, and in the case of sex, it reduces any friction to the partner too. So just tell your friend he's perfectly fine as he is, and his penis is working as well as it ever will be able to.

You're never too old.....hope he has a good reason and not just for cosmetic reasons.

At that age, the surgery and aftermath can be painful and long in duration. After going 22 years with a natural, intact penis...why chop part of it off now?
I'm uncircumcized and its never caused me any problems, and the apparent "benefits" to circumcizion have not been proven.

I'd say 97 is to old to have it done.

There are no health benefits to circumcision in today's modern society (other than providing more income to an already filthy rich industry). It is a barbaric practice remnant of ancient societies that used to live in unhygienic conditions, where people were getting all kinds of infections. Nature knows what organs your body needs better than what anyone, and does not waste energy manufacturing useless features. Circumcision is equivalent to mass-mutilation in America today. Most of the rest of the civilized world does not perform routine circumcisions. If it ain't broken, don't try to fix it.

Technically anyone can be circumcised, but if he's not having any problems he should just leave it alone, rather than go through a month of pain and not having sex/masturbation, and risking other risks. And yes, having erections during the healing process is painful as it stretches the wound on one of your most sensitive body parts. As for benefits, that's debatable.

Circumcision has become less common. Circumcision rates were as high as 90% back in the 1960s and 1970s (that's partly why today's adults are so... brainwashed, I supposed you could say, about thinking that circumcision is better) but they have fallen to as low as 14% in some states. Here are the statistics:
http://www.cirp.org/library/statistics/U...

The USA is the last developed nation doing it to a large number of newborns without religious or medical needs. (Europeans, Latin Americans, Japanese, and most Australians, Canadians, and Asians don't circumcise):

Why?

There's pain involved, often why doctors don't want you in the room when it's done:

http://www.pslgroup.com/dg/1f21e.htm
(you can search online for a circumcision video, too)

In a medical study, it was found that females are more likely to hit orgasm with an uncircumcised man:

The lubricated foreskin (on the inside... like your eyelids) slides up and down during sex and masturbation to stimulate the head (which is why you don't hear of uncircumcised guys needing lube to masturbate).

Studies have found that circumcision reduces sensitivity (this article also mentions how it has lost popularity in the USA in recent times):

And despite being more sensitive, uncircumcised guys still last in the same six minute range (average) that circumcised guys do:

Circumcision makes masturbation more difficult:

Which makes sense, that's how circumcision was promoted in the USA:

Increases erectile dysfunction rates:

If too much skin is removed in circumcision, it can make the penis smaller since the penis needs some skin to expand during an erection:

Circumcision does not completely stop penile cancer. The American Cancer Society has already confirmed the myth that circumcision = no cancer.
http://www.cancer.org/docroot/CRI/conten...

If circumcision did stop penile cancer, then penile cancer would not be more common in the USA (most circumcised adults) than in some European nations, where circumcision is not practiced other than for medical/religious reasons.
http://www.circumstitions.com/Cancer.htm...

And a new study found that circumcision does not reduce your chances to get HIV/AIDS. Unlike other studies, this one was done in a developed nation; the USA.
