Can semen mold?!
Question: just a lil debate between me and my hubby. He says anything can mold..and i say that semen doesnt...we wanted to know..so we figured we'd post it.

. Mold will 'grow' wherever there's moisture. Hubby's right ..to a small degreee. It's unlikely that you'd leave semen out for very long before it dried up, OR you washed it away.
it will just get really stiff, and it will leave a stain and maybe a faint smell, but it shouldnt mold.

A few years ago I had to provide a sample for hospital test, they gave me a test tube to take home and told me that as soon as I provided the sample to bring it back to the hospital path lab fridge within 2 hours.

Thank you, I have been too involved with the arcane drivel of life to appreciate the fine points like this one.
That being said; I must say that mold will invade anything that contains any form of nutrition, semen is not exempt. Bacteria do not do well in a refrigerator but the cold does little to slow mold. Mold rules!

It's unlikely, however, semen can get bacteria in it, which will then cause it to begin molding due to having sex and the exchange of body fluids that also exchange bacteria and viruses within the body.
