Why GUYS don't show each other love?!

Question: First of all, Im not gay. However, my question is why guys my age (17) don't show love to each other. I m 5'12'', built, light brown hair. I have some really close guy friends since childhood and I've told them I love them (not sexually) alot. Also, if I lost them I would probably cry my *** off...seriously. I consider myself mascualin and very much passionate about love, considering my age..is that weird?

And do you guys show love to other guys? What about in highschool..I feel like I have to put on a fake shell and be all tough. My friends call me their therapist b/c i say my mind and feelings? Helo me out guys!!

-thnx. Darin.

Pretending we are macho and all that crap denies our true feelings for each other. You are a brave guy to show your true feelings in this day and age. If more guys would act the way you do I think there would be less violence on the streets.

I remember the first time I told my dad I loved him when I was in my 20s. He didn't know how to react but I said it to him every time I phoned him or saw him and eventually he said the same to me. Believe it or not, I think guys like to know their friends love them.

Good on you, Darin.

maybe ur bisexual deep inside cause crying for a guy is really really gay (unless something ****** up happened like he died)

you are perfect just the way you are

You have to understand that peers in society today that shows any feminine like affections can be EASILY mistaken as a sign of someone being a homosexual. Now, I'm not saying that you are a homosexual, but it is very rare for men to discuss their feelings to each other. That's why most of them keeps it bottled inside until it explodes like Mt. Krakatoa! In short, as long as they have someone to talk to, I think that's one out of many aspects of a true friend.

dude i think that's awesome. so you're a little more affectionate than some guys. who cares. From what i read you just sound like a really good friend!!

i understand u......ur like me.....and its not nor can it ever be gay...they don't cause its not within the culture to show feelings towards others than women, children and sometimes fathers.....sad isn't it?

lol nothings wrong with careing for a friend, i have a friend who i'd take 100 bullets for. it just sounds like your friends are all trying to be hardasses :)

That's a weird question you've got there

Your problem It's not normal it's very unusual. Men don't show each others emotion or affection how they feel on women specially in the same sex unless there's something wrong with you.

I suggest you seek from a professional help like psychologist

ok well dont listen to thise other people, ur not gay/bi u just consider them as "brothers" or "bros" even though they are not by blood!! i do consider my close guy frends bros. the reason they dont show each other this love is bcuz it can easily be mistaken for being gay/bi dont sweat it, they feel the same but they are actually not MAN enough to admit it!!

ur like my friend, he says i love you man like 4 outta the 5 days in a non sexual way.... idk why guys do it, i dont say it to all my friends just 1-2.... but i dont find it being homosexual like many guys do...

Not gay here either Darin. I'm the same way. I think it has to do with how your home was growing up...like my dad never showed affection like a hug every now and then, or even saying I love you. I have no problem with saying something like catch ya later bud love ya. Friends are like family sometimes and its ok to say ya love em (and not sexually). If ya slip up sometime and say love ya (like in ya love your family sis & brothers...moms/dads - family) say hey you are family bro...they will get use to "thats just the way Darin is he doesn't mean anything weird when he says it". I have no problem hugging a friend...guys can do that too. Guess until people are around someone who is loving like family things won't change...huh. Hope I made sense here. Have a good one bro luv ya!

I love telling people i love them. I randomly yell it at my friends in the hallway whether they're girls or guys. It's how i roll.
