Do i need to get circumcised?!

Question: Its embarrassing to ask but i recently started to have sex, and i my skin is kinda tight i cant pull it over the head or much at all.

I have no problem peeing, the only worry is that i am worried that the skin might break during intercourse.

Worrying too much or is it fine?

No, you don't need to get circumcised. You're mostly fine, but you do seem to have phimosis (a condition where the foreskin is a bit too tight/narrow). There are a lot of (painless) ways to "fix" this without resorting to circumcision, or any other surgical procedure for that matter.

The first thing you should try are stretching exercises; see link 1 for good and detailed instructions. You can also ask a doctor about prescription creams that're supposed to help loosen the foreskin. In one study, these creams are the most cost-effective treatment a doctor can provide (link 2). In both these cases, it can take up to a month or more to get the full result - so be patient!

See the remaining links for more info. As for sex, be sure to use some lubrication so it's gentler on you and her. You may want to abstain from sex until you're able to fully retract your foreskin, because if you're too rough during sex, the tip can tear a little and that'll be painful.

well just simply work it over when you shower, your going to have to stretch it out manually by working this method out several times.

if you can get an erection than your foreskin will not tear. just be careful and follow my advice.

The skin will stretch in time...don't worry !

No! Don't do it! Just work with it, as mentioned before, and keep it clean. You are lucky to not be circumcised. It means you have more nerve endings and, therefore, more pleasure points for enjoying sex.

Nah don't stress man. It's like that first guy said just keep stretching it around slowly and you'll be sweet. The head isn't gonna be revealed as much as knobs in pornos so don't let that stress you either. Just keep on pluggin' away :D

ROFL @ the guy comparing your penis to his dog. Wow, that was funny and stupid at the same time. Anyway, back to your question. No, you don't need to get circumcised, unless you want to. The best thing to do would be to just stretch the skin. When you're in a warm bath or shower, try pulling your foreskin back little by little and slowly. If you do it really hard and fast, it's going to hurt a lot!! So just stretch it a little every day and soon it will become loose and it will go past the head like it should. Once your foreskin gets nice and stretchy, you should have no problem with sex, but you can always use lube if you feel like you need things a little more slippery. Hope this helps!! Good luck!!

EDIT: With a little research, you can see that everything Paul Jeffrey just said was a lie.

All of their answers are wrong.

I am a Nurse.
If i were you. You should get circumcised by now because as we grow older the foreskin will more tightly if your not circumcised.
I have encountered in emergency room that the guy can't retract any longer/anymore his foreskin because he haven't circumcised. He has a high fever because he is infected due to SMEGMA (white foul odor) because as men grow older the more SMEGMA will invade into your penis if your haven't circumcised and SMEGMA is an organism.

It's NOT TRUE that the foreskin have nerve endings.
The Head of the Penis have a more nerve endings.

You need to move your foreskin down to expose the tip of your penis. The first time will take a while and be awkward because the foreskin is stuck to the skin of the tip of your penis. Your parents should have cleaned you when you were smaller, then you wouldn't have this problem now.

The foreskin will not grow tighter as you get older. Most men in Europe have a foreskin and as long as you clean it, you won't have any problems.

The link I posted below has a lot of information with references from doctors. It will help you to make your own decision.

Don't do it. The foreskin has a purpose. If it didn't, you would think it wouldn't come with every man ever born. The foreskin is there for a reason. I'll give some links that'll explain it better than me.

BTW, circumcision is only for lazy people who like pain. Seriously, if you just clean your penis every day, you don't need circumcision. Simple as that. It just enforces the idea of laziness in America.

Just try some gradual stretching in the bath if it remains tight, and like you said you can urinate fine, so I can't see a major problem. Not major enough to warrant an expensive, painful, irreversible procedure like circumcizion anyway.

Try using a sexual lubricant like KY to reduce friction during sex.

Additionally, try to stretch it. That worked for me.

This is common among young teens and guys who have not tried pulling their foreskin back much, that's because the foreskin is attached to the head when you're young to prevent the head from getting dirty. Usually it separates before puberty, but in your case you have to give it a little help. Now that you probably masturbate and pull it back to wash under it (only takes about less than 10 seconds) it'll start sliding back more and more. If you have a tight foreskin, you can actually stretch it like I did when you shower. It only took a few weeks and it hasn't given me a single problem ever since. =)

Work on getting it less tight. Here's what you do. When you shower and and you're soaping up your body, pull the foreskin back the most you can without forcing it, and then wash the head with the other hand. If you do this each time you shower for a few weeks, you'll see results. It'll slide back a little more every few days.

Now, as for the sensitivity, as studies have proven, the foreskin keeps the head sensitive. That's not a bad thing, since that creates pleasure. However, you don't want it too sensitive. Yours is just too sensitive because it hasn't been used much before. So you just have to rub it gently at first for some weeks (start off with just water and then every few days try to rub a little more) and you'll see the difference. Then you'll be able to rub the head however you want. =) So in a way, those two things are tied.

So yeah, work on it and in a few weeks you'll like it. =) And of course, feel free to e-mail me from my profile if you have any questions!

You do NOT need circumcision. And you have every right to remain uncircumcised, as after all, circumcision does carry risks and most 'benefits' are unfounded or contradicted. Common risks of circumcision are more difficulty with masturbation (it was made popular in the USA to stop masturbation, after all), and lower sensitivity. There's a reason why the USA is the last developed nation doing it to newborns, and our rates are falling; it's as low as 14% in some states by now. Research it more in the link below:

In the end, if the stretching fails after a few weeks, you can ask a doctor for a cream. It's 0.05% betamethasone, which is successful in over 90% of cases. You can even take the study to him. It's a really inexpensive cream; Wal-Mart sells it for $4 with prescription and online you can buy it for about $10 at drugstore.com, for example.

But focus on stretching it first. That should give you results after some time.

ROTFLMAO at "smegma is an organism" wow, thats the funniest thing I've heard in ages. Smegma is not an organism, its a natural accumulation of dead cells, debri, and natural lubricants. Females produce more smegma than intact males and they aren't keeling over dead. wow, I can just see the nasty Smegma monster attacking penises everywhere! I'm sorry, its just so funny.

Back to your question, no circumcision needed, stretching or creams should work, otherwise they can do simple surgery to widen the opening if having it retract is that important to you. -Neb

I would get it done...If you have ever owned a shar-pei dog, you know why. You have to clean the folds daily or they start to stink and get infected.

You have Phimosis and need to see a Urologist. More than likely circumcision is the best thing! No worries, it is cleaner , healthier and makes sex 100% better!

yep sounds like it. i got it at 23. it ain't that bad.
all these people saying its gonna hurt like hell, lose sensitivity ect ect majority wouldn't have a clue as they were cut at birth or still have a foreskin.
