acid head's right. its a fungal issue and everyone's pretty accurate in that you need to get him to scrub with anti-bacterial soap, spray with anti-fungal aerosol, apply antifungal creme and use charcoal inserts to protect his shoes and socks. change the socks 2x a day or more as needed. change shoes (no one pair more than 2 consecutive days at 8 hours each). when he washes the socks, squirt in some anti-bacterial dish liquid too. that helps break down the oder and kills the germs.
tell him to put deodorant on bottom of feet
He needs to wash his feet, and spray odor eaters spray on them after.. When he puts his socks on have him spray the socks, and also spray inside his shoes.
try changing his insoles also. don't forget the odoreaters powder..
It might be a fungus and in that case he should use some anti-fungal cream, if the deoderizers don't cut it.
i have two sons and 1 grandkid with this problem you can buy charcoal inserts and then there is powder for that and sprays cause the feet get hot and sweat.

What brand of sneakers is he wearing? Sometimes if you have cheap sneakers they make your feet smell bad.
