Can a man get prostate cancer at any age?!

Question: I'm 23 and my right prostate as been swelling up a bit off and on for several months.. its gets about a half size bigger than my left... and here recently it appears to be a small lump coming and going inside of it.. to the point where you can feel it and move it around....
could i just have an enlarged prostate?

Yes a man can have prostate problems at any age. Just because it swells, it doesn't mean you have prostate cancer(by the way, you only have one).
Men are advised to have their prostate checked every year after they turn 40 but I have had to have mine checked since age 30. I was taking medication for pain and it eventually caused mine to swell. The only real problem I've had with it is difficult urination.

For the sake of your health, get on in to a doctor and have it checked.

Good luck

YES

go and see a doctor. you can get it at any age after puberty as far as i know.

Well in theory you can get almost anything at any age, though it's rare. You could have either one, but very unlikely. If you're unsure, just see a doctor.

well, for starters, you don't have a left and right prostate--are you referring to testicles instead (inside your scrotum)? The prostate gland is up inside your body--it's function is one of traffic control: when you're ready to ejaculate, it closes off the urethra from the bladder and allows the seminal fluid to pass instead. So, guess we need to establish exactly what you're talking about first.

First of all men only have one prostate. You would have a very hard time feeling your own prostate because it is contained internally (inside the body).

I'm guessing your talking about the testicles. Testicular cancer is rare, but it is the most common cancer affecting younger men. If there's a lump you should go see your doctor.

Maybe, but it is unlikely before your testes mature.
Sounds like you need to see a qualified physician.
Out of curiousity, how are you doing all this checking?
Or are you having some assistance?
I am in my fifties and my doc told me my prostrate is somewhat enlarged. She checked for lumps or bumps and didn't find any, so basically I got a clean bill or health. There is also the PSA (prostrate specific antigen) test which can be an indicator also. Get going dude, or you'll be in sad shape.

dude your prostate is somewhere up your ar$e and you only have the one. i think youre on about your balls. if you have any lumps that feel unusual then go the docs asap. I always wonder why people sit asking questions on yahoo answer when its a potentially serious situation. you can develop cancer at any age anywhere. a good mate of mine had testicular cancer and had to have one removed at twelve years old.

Excuse me that is your testicles not your prostate. The Prostate is inside the body and is not visible from the out side. You mite have Testicle strain from having to much ruff sex, or you could have a growth in the testicle sack. May be even a rupture. You need to have a Doctor check it out for you.
