when sharing a room and possibly a bed with a friend, just follow your normal routine. Sleep nude, wander around the room naked,etc. If it bothers him he will probably say so. n the other hand if he does not mind seeing your naked body he will likely say nothing or possibly mentionhe is okay with you being nude. If the friendship is good enough he too may well take to being naked which will make you feel more relaxed.
If on th eother hand you are sharing with a casual acquaintance then maybe some loose fitting boxers woudl be more appropriate attire for hanging out in the rooom but still feel free to sleep nude.
I've been in borh situations and not had anyone express any opposition to my nidity. On only a couple occasions did the other person say anything specific about my genitals or pubic hair. And that was more stating the obvious than any type of criticism.

Ask the hotel staff for a cot. It's common for them to provide one.

First, if there is only one bed, you should not automatically plan to sleep nude--common courtesy would dictate you would at least take a pair or gym shorts or lounge shorts with you, he may well object to sleeping with you nude. Doesn't matter whether you think he is gay or not. Typically guys do undress and are nude in front of each other when dressing or getting ready, so walking around nude should not be an issue. If you have no choice with sharing a bed, most guys will do that, but not normally assume it is ok with the other person in bed to sleep nude. Things pop up in the night. As to "give him what he wants" it really sounds like you are interested in some sex action with him, if so, and he is willing too, it is a lot of fun and good bonding experience. But if you absolutely do not know for sure he is "gay" never assume he is. Have fun.
