Low testostereone.... So what?!

Question: I'm a 26 year old male that's been diagnosed with having a low testosterone level. Now I've been on medication (a gel), for about 2 1/2 years, and there is no change in anything. Except the level is apparently up. Now I have no problem with mood, fatigue, energy level, muscle mass, physical looks, before of after the medication. So my question is do i have to keep taking the medication. I haven't been on it for about the last 6 months, and everythings the same. It's very expensive medication. My doctor says it's my choice, if I don\t want to take it then fine.

How low and is it really affecting anything- as muscle development, bone structure, health issues. Testosterone patches available, sometimes used after testicular cancer surgery. If you still have some production and not affecting sperm counts or general body condition- don't worry about it. If you need a bit for catching up on bone or body development since puberty- then try patches. Doc seems to be saying you don't really need it for health - just maybe cosmetic or erectional purposes?.

just reading this makes me feel so good about myself =)

get a second opinion, and a third.
see other doctors because you should know after justa few months if you feel better or not. you know yourself better than the doctor does.
If they have female hormone replacement stuff, then they should have the same thing for males. Look into it yourself and ask lots of questions next time you see a doctor about it.

sounds like a pretty shitty condition, so dont settle for one doctors opinion.
