It is oblique and white to distinguish it from urine which comes out of the same hole. You don't want to get those two mixed up now do you?
There is no a determined fact.
Sperms cells are colorless while spermatic liquid is almost trasparent. That's all. Saliva the same is whitish while blood is red cause the colored hemoglobin, for instance.
That's like saying why is urine yellow or why is poo brown.
