A guy get's an erection when he's sexually excited and/or stimulated. Younger guys get erections randomly. Guys get erections when they wake up. When they are asleep. Etc etc.
An erection is due to sexual attraction, not emotional (love is emotional) but also guys can have strange things happen with that issue.
