I want to broaden my chest and shoulders - how?!


Question: I have dumb bells at home. How can i use them to broaden my chest and shoulders.

I found going to the local gym totally useless, as the gym instructor wouldn't let me try the bench press - stating that it is not for amateurs. So, i stopped going to the gym - although i understand bench press is the best exercise for this.

Now, how can i use dumb bells at home to achieve this.
Any ideas greatly appreciated.

I'm guessing that you can hold the dumbbells and then abduct your arms until it's at a 90 degree angle with your torso.
My suggestion, that has nothing to do with dumb bells, sorry, is to do some swimming training.
When I started swimming my shoulders got broader. It makes your shoulders appear bigger. Is that what you wanted?

Yeah, go to a pool and do daily swimming exercises. I have 10-pound hand weights and what I do is I move my arms around with the weights in hand and see what's makes me the tired fastest. I do that exercise non-stop until I can bearly move my arms or chest....it helps.

the less u can do is swimming... if u dare, u cud try weightlifting
