6' 170 lbs, trying to gain 10-15; can I exercise and gain weight at the same!

Question: I feel like I'm a little thin for my height so trying to put on a few pounds.

I really enjoy both cardio and weight training - I imagine cardio will have be cut back a lot for this weight gain plan to work, but I can still at least do all the weights I want, right?

I see tons of info out there about losing weight, but much harder to find tips on gaining - thanks in advance!

YES! but you need to be smart about it and do it the right way to get the best and quickest results. Increase your intake of milk, eggs, fish( any kind will do but tuna fish is the highest in protein), and peanut butter. They are all healthy for you and contain the properties your body need to gain the good fat( their IS two kinds of fat... The good fat that turns to muscle and the bad fat that would take liposuction to get rid of).

Yeah u can...
Gaining muscle is also gaining weight but dont gain 10 of muscle...
U can eat tho too

it depends how old you are but im 16 and iv just joined a gym for the same reason as you, to put on some weight and build muscle. Its good to put on muscle but the only thing you need to watch is that if your still my age or younger u got to watch that it doesnt effect your growing if you do free weights. another problem i face is that i can see my weight going up then i suddenly drops so dont get dis-heartend like i did cos apparently this is normal. Make sure you eat well aswell, proteine is very good for when your doing weights so eat alot of potatoes and dairy stuff, things like that.

good luck m8, hope i helped

I been bodybuilding for about 2 years now, you need to EAT, EAT,EAT and EAT more if you want to pack on the muscle. Remember to do lots of compound exercises Bench, Squats, Deadlifts, and overhead presses to gain mass.
Lots of protein and keep up on the lifting. Have you tried TrueMass from BSN its' a good weight gainer and it tastes good too. Well good luck

Yes.

At 16, your metabolism is probably the best it will ever be, so if you start exercising, you'll build up muscle easy. Remember, muscle cells are a lot heavier than skin or fat cells, so you only have to be a little bigger to gain the same amount of weight, in less time.
