the longer you abuse your body through alcoholism and drugs the more you are bound to affect your offspring, its the difference between being healthy and unhealthy (which one would you expect to produce better offspring?)
The fact is older people have been having children since the beginning of human history. This is especially true of men as they have a longer fertility lifespan than women.
The autism epidemic started 20 years ago. It was unheard of 80 years ago. We like to think we are pretty smart now but some of the best diagnostic physicians lived in the past and it is highly unlikely they just "missed" it. It either didn't exist or was extremely rare.
This also rules out genetics. There is no such thing as a genetic epidemic. Any genetic predisposition is dormant until an external insult is applied.
It's just another lame theory to divert attention away from the real cause of the autism epidemic. Vaccines and pollution.
