Circumcision...?!

Question: I got circumcised 4-weeks ago and my glans is painful when rubbing against my clothing? How much longer will this last. After taking a shower I dry my glans with the towel very careful because of the pain. I regret getting circumcised I only did it for hygiene reason but when I was uncircumcised my penis was clean as well. AHHH what should I do I wish all these stiches can go away and feel no more pain when towel rubs on glans..Please help suggestions...And when will that pain go away?

Sorry you made that decision. Your healing process doesn't sound normal if you've still got stitches etc. so you should probably see your doctor for a follow up. But yeah I know most guys find that the glans is too sensitive and painful after circumcision, after a while it dulls down and eventually loses sensation though.

Go see your urologist? You may have an infection.

A mild infection and in 2 or 3 more weeks the pain will
begone.

It's been four weeks and it still hurts? And, I can't believe that there are still stitches--those should have dissolved two weeks ago. That may be part of the problem--you might have some infection going on in there. I'd go see your urologist. Like I said, those stitches should be long gone.

It will get better as the head gets used to being exposed. Are you sure you're not confusing pain with sensitivity? I got cut almost 15 years ago, and my head is still sensitive; I feel it all the time.

no you have ultra sensitive glands , many men do , but don't notice it with the foreskin ,

can i ask why the hell did you do that to your body ,
if it ain't broke don't fix it

ok since we can't go back in time and tell you not to do it , i can't ,

although the pain should decrease in the nest coming weeks , i think you should go see a doctor since cut men are at a higher risk of infection

Yes indeed i feel your pain i got circumcision 2 weeks ago and somehow the pain stopped 3 days after get a circumcision. The doctor supposed to give u ointment to prevent infection and anti-biotic as well as pain killers for the pain.

When taking a bath always try to avoid washing the penis with regular soap always try to use soap thats always used for the penis. Go the the pharmacy and ask for a wash cloth for the penis and if u get the wash cloth rub gently not hard.

Always wear protection to prevent the penis from rubbing to the clothes and always cover the penis when going outside from cold or hot weather.

Always add ointment as doctor prescribed u.

4 weeks after the operation and still feeling pain is a little long. When I was circumcised at age 28 the pain and the stitches had gone within about 2 weeks and all the swelling and discolouration disappeared in about 6. It's something I have never regretted at all so your experience has me slightly worried. As suggested it would be a good idea for you to see your doctor.

SHould be gone by now-you messed up getting it done if you didn't need to anyway!

Ouch.

Your glans is simply still not used to being exposed all the time. You should get used to it (or the sensitivity wears off) in time, but how long depends on the guy. You just have to tough it out.

If it looks like there's any inflammation or discoloration, it could be a mild infection. In this case, go see your doctor ASAP.
