Question: Guys.... how do you pee? Not literally but my bf was wondering whats normal...when guys pee do they grab it out through their zipper and boxers, or just pull the front side of their pants and boxers down and grab it out? Do they do it differently in a public bathroom compared to their bathroom at home? What percent of the time do you (they) do either one? My bf says that he does it 50/50 which ones more normal

as long as he does it in a way that he likes it, then it's okay

I pee the same way all the time, no matter where I'm at.
I unbutton and unzip my jeans, pull the front of my shorts down, pull my thing out and pee.

if im wearing briefs/boxer briefs i pull the waist band down, but i pull my self out of the fly if im wearing boxers.

What ever makes you feel comfortable. I can not pee standing up unless it is a urinal. My flacid penis is too short and my thighs are too fat (causing my balls to be pushed up) that i cannot push my dick to aim in a standard toilet. So yes sadly but truely i am like a woman and must sit down to pee 95% of the time.
inzip-pull thru the keyhole-let loose. boxers are easier, briefs I wear horizontal fly and so I can easily pull it out and plop it back in after.

unzip zipper pull front of boxers down a little pull it out and pee. Same steps for any scenario

I always pull the front side of my boxers down. I always pull my balls out too....makes it more comfortable. Don't do anything different in public compared to at home.
You might try to find the book "Do You Do It with the Lights On?" which contained a survey on this very question. There are basically three ways: Through the fly, Over the top, Under the bottom. Obviously, when a male is wearing pants with a closed waist and he urinates at a urinal in a public bathroom, he uses through the fly. If he has no fly but an elastic waistband, he might use over the top at a urinal, but I think most guys would go into a stall rather than expose buttocks. At home, he is apt to use whatever is quickest, and that is probably over the top.
If I'm wearing pants ( i am most of the time) I open the zipper in my pants and pull it out through the fly in my briefs.
If I'm just wearing underwear (like at home at night) I either pull down the waistband or pull up the leg opening.
